Wazza Cup Winner 2023: Matthew ‘Tree’ Forrester

What turned out to be far clearer and cooler skies compared to 2022, mATTHEW ‘TREE’ FORRESTER CAME HOME WITH THE GOODS. BRINGING HOME A PB TO BOOT! tHE ENERGY FOR WAZZA 2023 WAS OFF THE CHARTS. THE COMPETITION WAS FIERCE WITH A FEW COMING IN WITH PBS. ‘Tree’ now joins the immortal legends of sbr including brigit (2021) and nic boyle (2022). wELL DONE TREE!

Wazza Cup Winner 2022:
Nic Boyle

In a race plagued by a never ending downpour, Nic Boyle emerged as an unlikely hero taking home the prized Wazza Cup. Braving the downpour armed with waterproof skin and unwavering determination, he conquered the10k swim/run event. His victory, marked by a victorious cry that echoed through the stormy skies, even uncrowned last years winner - Queen Birgit of Germany. Nic's soggy triumph became the stuff of legends, reminding us that in the face of adversity, atrocius weather and unwavering resolve the best can still pull out incredible performances.

Wazza Cup Winner 2021:
Birgit Rainbird

In an upset for the ages, Birgit Rainbird soared to victory in the highly anticipated 10k race, leaving her competitors in awe. Despite the valiant efforts of John Price, who fought tooth and nail to catch up, Birgit's head start proved too formidable to overcome. As the finish line approached, the South Bank crowd held its breath, witnessing a remarkable triumph as Birgit crossed the line winning the first offical Wazza cup and cementing her name in SBR club history forever!
