Training Sessions

We offer sessions for every level from those just starting out to our speedy advanced runners. Tuesdays session focuses on Speed and Thursday focuses on Endurance.

 

Speed Session

Tuesday
6pm – 7pm

This session focuses on short bursts of intense speed to help you run at a faster pace. These sessions challenge runners of all abilities from those with just one speed to the super fast speed demons.

Example Session:

As an example, a Speed session may look like this:

  • 2km easy running warm up

  • Activation drills (Skipping, Butt kicks, High knees etc)

  • Run throughs (small sprints)

  • 6x 1000m repeats with 2:00 min rest between each effort

  • 2km cool down

  • Group photo!

Endurance Session

Thursday
6pm – 7pm

This session focuses on longer efforts to help you run longer. These sessions generally are less intense and rank higher on the social and fun factor. They are designed to get the most out of runners by grouping runners of similar ability.

Example Session:

As an example, an Endurance session may look like this:

  • A Progressive run where packs of similar ability, run 7-10km running easy to begin with but building in speed each kilometer until we reach the fastest speed at the end of the run.
