Waiver

Please read the below waiver for ‘South Bank Runners Inc’ running group. It’s important you understand what is written and agree to it entirely.

I agree that as a member of South Bank Runners (SBR), I know that participating in, or volunteering for, any squad organised training sessions, individual training sessions, events or other squad organised activities, could cause injury, or even death.

I will not participate in any squad organised training sessions, individual training sessions, events or other squad organised activities unless I am medically able and properly trained, and by my signature, I understand that that I am required to be medically able to perform all activities associated with the squad, in good health, and properly trained at the time of that activity. I agree to inform the coach at the commencement of an activity of any issues that may impact my participation.

I agree to abide by all rules, policies, directions and procedures as established and administered by the squad, including the right of any coaching staff member or official to deny or suspend my participation for any reason whatsoever. I attest that I have read all the rules, policies and procedures of the squad and agree to abide by them.

I assume all risks associated with being a member of South Bank Runners (SBR) and participating in all squad activities which may include falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather (inc. high temperature and humidity, rain, storms etc.), traffic and other conditions of the roads, running tracks and other courses, all such risks being known and appreciated by me.

Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of acceptance of my application, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release South Bank Runners (SBR), it’s coaching staff , volunteers, sponsors, partners, their representatives and successors from all claims and liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation with the squad, even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver.
