LTTP #1: Consistency

So hopefully you read the previous post and now you are planning to run every day forever rain, hail, coronavirus…. Well done, you are now a “consistent” runner. Does that make you a good runner? Probably not. To be a good runner you need to follow a few more of these principles sorry. Most of these are simple and today’s principle is the simplest of all:

Principle #2: Be patient.

Getting fit takes time and running although simple, can be so bloody hard! Remember:

  • It takes 6 sessions for it to feel like you're not dying.

  • It takes 6 weeks to feel good.

  • It takes 6 solid months to feel amazing!

Hang in there, it's worth it.

Stay tuned for tomorrow’s post for the next principle - it gets a bit juicer moving into warm up and cool downs.
